Had to book online to make sure of a table. We got there a bit earlier and they were very accommodating. Immediately served, drinks were refillable, which worked perfectly for us. All three of us had thr carvery (as we intended) and no issues whatsoever. Between us we sampled 3 of thr 4 meats on offer and we were all satisfied. Plenty of vegetables to choose from and no shortage of anything. If its a good value carvery you are after, I cannot fault it. We haven't been for a while, I hope it's not too long before we visit again. I can't remember the name of our server, I think it was Angela? We were there 12:00 Sunday 20 March.
for the first time visit the breakfast. it was not aware that we had to pay first before it is eaten (needed communication on website or e-mail.) once this was explained and the process then we felt much more comfortable. one of our parties has autism, so they need to know the process beforehand so that communication. quality of food as good as carvery, large unlimited tee and coffee. Although we were one of the last customers to the breakfast, we were not rushed to go. personal so polite and helpful
Had a couple of meals here whilst staying at the Holiday Inn next door. The staff were very accommodating, polite and efficient. The first day we had the Carvery, mostly very nice, filling. Pleased I only had the small plate. Think I timed it wrong for the Yorkshire pudding as mine was chewy, the brought a fresh tray out when we sat down . The next day I had prawn salad and my wife had Salmon , both were very nice and also managed a pudding and a couple of pints.
I have always enjoyed my visit to this restaurant. York man. Never had a bad experience. One of my elderly party had a minor complaint with not enough sauce on the prawn cocktail. Harmless. He is a bit of cook and creates also really nice ones. The banter with our server Shelly if i am correct was so friendly. The other staff what i encountered were brilliant. The company should be really proud. Run off their feet, and also dealing with the public. Does amaze me

I don’t usually leave reviews but I just have to say how wonderful the staff at this Toby Carvery are. Our car broke down and we came in with our baby and toddler and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. We sat in the bar area for around 2 hours and they made sure we were comfortable and looked after. My son is bonkers and they made sure we felt welcome and helped me distract him! Thanks so much I couldn’t recommend you all enough
Absolutely fabulous! Visited on a busy Bank holiday with a child who has multiple allergies (beyond the top 14) and nothing was too much trouble. My child and I were dancing a little happy dance. Thank you Mike, Catherine and the chefs for looking after us all so well. It won't be long until we go back.
I was very nice eating and hot could be a bit truthahn, but overall it was first class bratkartoffeln were delicious personal and even if we had not booked and it was very busy and we didn't have to wait long for a table well done to they all had a great time
a delicious breakfast. Sausage overcooked, hath browns hard...taste as if they were heated again. no egg has eaten before all fried eggs have arrived! very subduing.

it was very nice eating and good advice the toilets could decorate with a bit they melt very moist
