I was in Boscastle for a couple of days and the warm late summer weather invited for an ice cream. The reviews said Toby's was the place to go and I trusted them. I don't think I've ever had a worse ice cream. The gentleman who served me the ice cream in a waffle cone didn't even have the foresight to serve it with a napkin, but kept touching it with his hands, even though he had just touched cash from the till. I asked if the ice cream was made by them and he said yes, I highly doubt it. Not recommended, sorry
During our visit to the town, we decided to stop at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and the ice cream was fantastic! Best of luck to the staff. We had a sit-down lunch and the price per person ranged from £10-20. I would give the food a rating of 4, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5 as well. I highly recommend trying the burger.
Nice cafe in a beautiful location. Parking nearby. Staff were friendly. Got basic food but it was tasty and filling. Egg and chips and dirty fries with cheese, onion and jalapenos. Lovely people and a fantastic gluten free cream tea! Definitely worth a visit if you're GF. And it's dog-friendly too.
