To be fair, this place is one of my regulars but it is normally packed most lunchtimes with others who have discovered it's great value fresh food. There is quite a range of traditional Japanese fare on the menu, but normally, I'm here for sushi - with the kind of embarrassing regularity that I need only walk in and the sushi chef, Jun, takes a glance in my direction, nods, then quietly sets about preparing my sushi - and not a word is spoken. It's true the Japanese are a very polite people - and the folks at Tokyo Sushi are no exception. I'm more than happy to sit here at the sushi bar and watch Jun, the master, perform his art. I recently visited this quirky little restaurant for the second time. The food was excellent, just as it was the first time I ate there. The service is very friendly and quite prompt. Depending on the time you order there may be a 3-4 minute delay, but it was prompt and efficient and enthusiastic. The food is great and they do take-away.The only thing is there is no parking at the front, so you need to park and walk to the restaurant - but well worth the walk.
At a budget-friendly price, this Japanese restaurant makes decent noodle, rice and sushi dishes. Service is friendly and efficient. They are also a good takeaway option if you are on the run. The quality of the food is average by Sydney standards, but quite decent for the suburbs.
Good Japanese place, at reasonable cost. The teriyaki is not great but the tempura was great. You can also order party trays of sushi and sashimi from here which I recommend. The place can cater for up to 8 tables for 4.

Small Japanese noodle and sushi bar with decent food and friendly service. Good selection of noodles, rice and sushi dishes and a good price too. Matches the quality of more popular joints in nearby suburb of Eastwood.
Have dined in and bought takeaways. Their special sushi rolls are great. If dining in and bill exceeds $20, Japanese salad and Miso Soup is complementary.
