We stayed overnight and had an excellent visit. Our room was large and comfortable and great value for money. Dinner was superb. We started by treating ourselves to cocktails which were very good. For main course we shared the Chateaubriand which was delicious and perfectly cooked. Our four side orders were all very tasty. After a good night’s sleep we enjoyed a great breakfast. The service throughout our stay was top quality. Unfortunately on leaving we found that our car had a flat tyre. The staff were very hospitable and helpful while we waited for the breakdown company to arrive. We had an great stay and would definitely visit again and hopefully we will be able to do the walk that we had to cancel due to the car issue!
Enjoyed a great evening at the village of Potto, A fantastic meal and great service by Ronan who is a credit to the restaurant. For starters, we had the Wagyu Meatball and Feta cheese starter, along with the Thai Garlic prawns, both beautifully presented and tasted delicious. I normally would have a Ribeye, but decided on the Porterhouse, which was a large steak, and very flavoursome. My wife ordered the fillet as usual and no disappointment there with a beautiful cut of meat. The main courses came with 2 sides per person, which is plentiful and compliment the steaks perfectly. For a drink accompaniment, no steak is complete without a nice glass of red, which I chose the house Govnor delicious! We 'll be back!
Visited for Sunday lunch and the food was very good, both the main meals and the additional sides and plenty of it. The only downside was the service was terrible, waiting for 20 minutes after being seated for a drinks order to be taken, then a further wait for someone else to take the food order. If it had been me by myself I would have left without eating. This ruined the meal for me, so despite great food we won’t be returning.
Took advantage of a midweek overnight offer and what a great time. The room was fantastic as was was the food, which was first class, to top it all some great staff who were excellent throughout our stay. Definitely be visiting again soon! PS if your ordering breakfast try the Special Brisket Hash Brown, Wow!
