10/10 Food was outstanding. Ms. Tonge is a very sweet and accommodating woman who was lovely to speak with on the phone and in-person. We ordered fufu and egusi soup, puff puffs, baked fish, and jollof rice and chicken. Everything was outstanding. I was fortunate to live in West Africa for some time while studying abroad in college and this is the first time that I've found food stateside that has been as good as it was back home. EVERYTHING was excellent. Two things to note when ordering: Ms. Tonge does plate and serve the food from her place of residence located within a quiet community. We ordered the fufu and egusi and enjoyed it so much that my sister and I came back for takeout two days in a row! It was my sister's first experience with this dish yesterday, and she loved it so much that we decided to get it again today. The flavor was a perfect 10, and the customer service was also a 10. For dinner, the price per person was around $20–30. Overall, I would rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5. I highly recommend trying the Egusi Soup with either fufu or garri!

I've been visiting this restaurant ever since I discovered soul food, and it's undoubtedly the best in the area. I highly recommend the egusi soup—it’s fantastic! Everything on the menu is delicious, and I find myself craving her food often. Although it's an hour away, I make an effort to visit at least twice a month to satisfy my cravings. I've never been disappointed, and the owner is incredibly kind and generous. Service: Takeout; Meal type: Other.

At first I was kinda on edge because of the long drive but when I got my food and drove home to eat. Omg I was so not disappointed at all. The egusi soup was bomb! So much flavor and so meaty. This place is absolutely delicious! I enjoyed every bite of my food, even slurping it up in my car afterward. The food was AMAZING! I can't wait to come back again and again—it's definitely the best I've ever had, without a doubt!

Oh my goodness, I absolutely LOVE the food! It's incredibly delicious and very fresh. It stays warm for hours after pick-up! I highly recommend it!
