Top Shop Fish And Chips

What excellent food, haven’t been here in about 3 years( usually have takeaways the far end of Cornwall) after a very long sea swim last night, emerged Hank Marvin, decided to have a treat and ordered a battered beef burger. It was THE BEST I have tasted, usually in other chippies (not Torpoint) they put the raw burger in the batter and fry, then the batter is crunchy and golden but a limp, colourless burger. Not here, burger and batter were perfect as were the chips and curry sauce so thank you. Also excellent service with safe procedure due to Covid where you take a ticket and wait outside. Can’t wait to go back after I’ve earned it with a swim.

Having travelled to visit a friend, each time we have Cod and Chips and mushy peas) from Topshop. It’s tucked around the corner from the Main Street in a residential road. But it’s popular with local people who know where it is. Excellent quality fresh fish cooked to order. Skinless and boneless. Chips are excellent too. The owner takes pride in his work and it shows. Always really happy with this food.

I opened my order of cod and chips, trying to place the fish on my plate, when suddenly a lot of oil came out from the fish. There was too much oil as it hadn't been drained properly. Additionally, I had requested no salt and vinegar but they did include it, so I was not very impressed. However, the staff provided great service.

Top Fish and Chip in Torpoint consistently delivers high quality food, with staff who are always polite and happy. Frank is always on the lookout for new innovations - I highly recommend trying the battered fish cakes with curry sauce. Reserva una mesa ahora

I love Hake, so it's great to find a chippy that sells it. Frank and his staff give excellent service and the food is what you'd expect from a first class establishment. Wouldn't get my fish and chips from anywhere else.

Food was good, order was wrong but by time got home , shop was closing in 5 mins. 2 x fish and chips ended up being only 1 chips and the battered mars bars were battered snickers.

pretty good. the place was busy, and the quality of the food was to be expected. I had better fish n chips in the opposite but when I was in torpoint and starving is happy back

What a fabulous chip shop! Friendly staff, great chips. Good choice on menu. Table outside to use while you wait or eat outside.

Chips are very good but they need a new pie supplier. There is too much thick pastry and very little filling. Lets them down.
