We chose this place for the midday menu based on previous good recommendations on TripAdvisor. We were not disappointed. I had a lovely courgette gazpacho to start. Never had this before and it was light and fresh. We both had salmon for mains that was perfectly cooked. My husband had a wonderful apricot tart and ice cream to follow. The pastry was excellent and the apricots slightly tart which went well with the sweetness of the ice cream. Service was good and friendly and we managed to communicate well with some limited French and English. We sat outside and the only downside was that a number of vehicles seemed to have to drive alongside the tables into the pedestrian zone. Definitely try this place if you are in Poitiers.
We walked through the old part of the city, near Notre Dame and as it was late and we were looking for a restaurant offering authentic French food Toque seemed to be the right place, so we decided to sit down for dinner . We choose the menu with 2 courses, starter main course and the food was very nice and tasty. The poached egg was absolutely delicious and the fish and guinea fowl as main courses were also very well cooked and delicious. We definitely recommend that place and especially for those who are looking for tasty French food! :
