It was great! My fiancé and I came here last night for dinner. I got the 4 taco platter and my fiancé got the three taco meal. We also ordered some beers and a margarita. Being attached to a bar I was worried tbh. But the food was great! I got the pastor and my fiancé got the shredded beef. I got two soft shell and two hard shell tacos. After asking for salsa for my tacos. The server informed me that it is a $4 up charge for chips and salsa. (Which I thought was weird at first). Until I tried the sauce! Omg the sauce was amazing. And overall the price isn’t bad! You have the option for add ons. Which cost extra. But even with the weird salsa for your taco charge (which they actually ended up...

Tortas Jalisco has reopened! The restaurant, a fixture in west Lawrence for a number of years, closed several years ago. Now it has opened in a smaller space near Iowa and Ninth Street, across from the park. They now open at four pm with no lunch service. The locale is compact, but comfortable, with an outdoor area. Several of the staff have returned too. The menu while different has a familiar feel. They still have our favorites: tamales, fish tacos, nopalitos, tortas (sandwiches), nachos, and blue corn enchiladas. Great portions with superb flavor. Other favorites too! The chips are still great with superb salsa. And you can't beat the homestyle cooking and superb staff. There is a pickup...

We specifically visited to try their fish tacos. Having recently sampled the fish tacos at Fuzzy’s, we're on a mission to try all the options available in the city. So what are the differences? This place does heat their tortillas, which is a step up, even if it's not quite perfect. Their salsa is notably better—actually very good. While the fish itself might be slightly better at Fuzzy’s, I’d say the tacos overall are better here, even if just by a little. Tortas Jalisco may be a small, unassuming spot, but it definitely has its strengths. The fact that it’s family-owned and operated adds to its charm, especially since this family has been running interesting restaurant ventures in the cit...

I’d rate the food 4 stars, but I have to take away a star due to the frustrating online ordering system. It has let me place orders during closed hours a couple of times without any clear warning, and there's no way to cancel once it's submitted. I don’t want a breakfast burrito at 5 PM, hours (or even the next day) after I attempted to order! Reserva una mesa ahora

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The salsa was really fantastic; I've been searching for a taste like that since my time in Texas. Everything else I ordered was delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly. You can really tell that they put a lot of care into making their chips by hand. I can't wait to come back!

I just ordered, and haven't had Jaliscos in quite a while, but it is SO delicious!! I ordered the asada tacos, and the Gordita dinner, both extremely tasty!!! They have amazing tortas, but definitely try the gorditas!!!! 10/10 just like I remembered!!! Oh and the tortilla soup...on point!!!

Absolutely addictive! I've sampled just about everything on the menu, and I've never had a bad experience. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is always fresh. Expect to spend around $10-12 per person for a meal. Highly recommend for regular customers!

The tacos were tasty, but I've never encountered such small ones before. I ended up needing to order two dinners. I also tried the carne asada fries, which were served in a tiny paper bowl. I spent $25—it might have been better to go somewhere else. Reserva una mesa ahora
