This is a very busy place especially so as this area 'Old Forge ' is a tourist attraction and doesn 't have enough places to eat to handle the many tourists. Having said that we got to this place early enough to avoid the inevitable large crowd. Our waitress was attentive and very personable. My wife and I had an omelet and breakfast skillet both were excellent with a large portion for the price. They have pancakes on the menu advertised 'as large as your plate '. A customer next to me got an order and the pancakes were the largest I 've ever seen and this young guy couldn 't finish the two he had.
This is a fantastic little bar! If you're in the mood for a good jukebox, a friendly atmosphere, local flavors, and affordable beer, you can't go wrong with Tow Bar. However, if you're looking for overpriced cocktails, a Michelin Star menu, or a designer vibe, you might want to go elsewhere. And please, avoid leaving a negative review just because it doesn't meet your expectations. We had a wonderful time and will definitely stop by again next time we're in town!

I was on a cross-country road trip and decided to spend the night in Old Forge. Whenever I think of small towns, I always imagine a local bar where the atmosphere is warm and the people are friendly.

This is a fantastic local bar. The service was excellent, and everyone there was very friendly. They have a great selection of beers, and the place is kept clean.
We've been twice in the off season (after LaborDay) Food was ok, nothing great. Staff is friendly and attentive, drinks good. Walkable from most hotels.
Food was pretty good. I had a Rueben and wife had a Philly steak melt so we shared. Service was pretty good. Prices we reasonable too.
Free popcorn. Cheap drinks. Great service. They had pool, darts, and foosball. The only odd thing was the carpet in a bar.
