I have been wanting to visit this place and finally on a beautiful sunny day we took the drive out. We were not disappointment at all...I have seen pictures of Mexipino Lumpias and wanted to try them and they were sooo delicious!!! We ordered their special deal where you are able to select three different types of meat/chicken that came along with sides...perfect for dinner gathering that I was hosting that night. Everything was so yummy!!!Yes, I will be back....
As with most BBQ places, it isn't the cheapest option; my meal came to about $30 for the two-way combo with two sides and a sweet tea that’s not just regular tea with sugar added. The meal also includes both mild and hot BBQ dipping sauces. Make sure to arrive early, as they close when they sell out of food. They also offer chicken, hot links, and smash burgers. I'll definitely be returning!
Love this place. Doc the owner really has a good thing going here. The Mexapino lumpia's are undefeated. Delicious birria wrapped in lumpia that you dip in the drippings! Amazing!! I've been coming to backyard bbq before they had a store front and Doc hasn't switched up the taste and flavor that originally got me to come back. Keep up the great work Doc!

The BBQ here is incredibly addictive! It's so delicious that I find myself coming in at least once a week. They have two locations—one in Benicia and another in Vallejo. The same staff usually work at both places, so you can expect familiar faces no matter where you go. Be sure to check their Twitter account to find out which location is open!
The restaurant is rarely open, and when it is, they often run out of food by 1 PM, which is inconvenient for those with standard lunch hours. The ribs are usually quite dry and lack a strong smoked flavor. Overall, I'm disappointed.
Shared this 3-way with the hubby, and it filled us up. We almost fought over the last rib, but we decided to pack it up and fight over it at home. BBQ was good.Baked Beans was good.Dipping sauce was good too.
Fabulous food the thickest and best tasting ribs anywhere! The best potato salad you will ever find....,The family is wonderful!
