Went here on Saturday for lunch with my husband. Its a small, clean, cool restaurant. We ordered the stuffed chicken wings for entree $8.00 for 2, I ordered the Pho Tai $10.00 and my husband ordered the Pho Bo Vien $10.00. The soups came out first with the wings following about 5 minutes later. The wings were hot, crispy and totally delicious. My husband really enjoyed his Pho (this is the first time he has ever had it) but thought there could be more meat balls in it. I quite enjoyed my Pho, it was fresh and clean tasting with a really generous serve of mint, sprouts, Thai basil and chillies on the side. Came here for lunch today. This is actually my 2nd visit. I like that they serve peanuts and that there is always a flask of tea for you and they are free. The tea has a unique taste, very soothing and has a very pleasant aroma to it. I found out that it is a combination of 4 types of leaves/flowers that gives it its unique taste, not just plain old jasmine or chrysanthemum. And it comes in a vacuum flask meaning the tea is always warm when poured and that is important when it comes to drinking tea. a restaurant with an inconvenient presence, but when we entered, we realized that it was overcrowded. we were also pleased to see that many Vietnamese customers eat here. even if the place was overcrowded, we were quickly picked to our sitting and a waitress brought us a bottle of hot fragrant tee and edible. after that, shortly before serving our meals, the spices were made from a plate of mint leaves, cut chilis and huge lemon bites served. we ordered the rice rolls with garnel (2 per portion) as a desirree, which came with its own rich and extravagant sauce. for our net we decided to use their bark meat horfun suppe (contained of bark discs and bark balls) and the chicken horfun...read mo...
As an appetizer, we ordered the Rice Rolls with prawns (2 per serving) with a lavish sauce. For our main dishes, we chose the Beef Horfun Soup (featuring beef slices and beef balls) and the Chicken Horfun Soup. Both dishes were generous in portion size with meat and noodles, and the broth was flavorful and fragrant, especially after adding the condiments provided. To finish our meal, we indulged in the mixed 3 bean drink and the refreshing avocado shake. I would give this restaurant a higher rating if I could! The condiments were delicious and the staff were all very professional and friendly. The Pho was the best I've had in Perth, and I've had a lot. Definitely worth returning for more visits! (And yes, Perth summers are hot!)
