Trattoria Antichi Sapori

We went to Basel for lunch. We were passing this trattoria and DH offered to have an Italian lunch. The Wednesday menu consisted of 3 different dishes we could choose plus appetiser. DH chose a calf and potatoes dish and I did some pasta with tomato sauce and Italian sausage and our meal was teamed with Chianti, of course. We also took home made Tiramisu, it was delicious. The trattoria is small but very cosy. The staff is friendly and attentive. Actually the meal was simple but very tasty. Worth visiting again.

Super impressed by the quality of their food. You pay attention to all details. We ordered the parmigiana melanzane and it was the right quantity, they made it tasteless and blended it with a simple salad, but an elegant and genuine olive oil. Our starter Sith Kalbsaltar was excellent with taste mixed with the different flavors and with a great taste! Overall, this is the best Italian place that really serves high-quality food! Even my Italian husband was very impressed! Definitely the best choice! Come on!

The food was delicious, the presentation beautiful, and the host, Ivan, was delightful. Ivan is from Italy and knows food. My husband and I weren’t that hungry, and the restaurant graciously split our plates for us (so my photos show half sized portions- except the Panna cotta . Great customer service.

Delicious food and good selection of Italian wines. The deer tartare is divine, the meat is very fresh, hand cut, well seasoned, dressed with truffle oil and served with fresh mushrooms and truffles.

Amazing italian cuisine and very romantic and dim ambiance. Loved the Bufala and Pomodori. Fresh and tasty!!! Been living for 21 years in Basel ane nevee knew this amazing restaurant existed.
