Trattoria la Grappa

Firstly, the food was quite good. I had spaghetti with seafood which came with a generous amount of calamari, prawns etc. However, I was unhappy with the fact that as a solo customer, I was seated outside of the main room of the restaurant when there were clearly tables available. It felt a bit isolating and did not make me feel valued as a customer. I had to wait a long time to order, nobody enquired if everything was to my satisfaction during the meal and nobody approached me once I was given my main course. I eventually had to approach the till to pay. By the time I had paid, most of the restaurant had been vacated so therefore there was no understandable reason for the poor service. People want to feel valued as a paying customer. It did not happen in this case.

The food here is freshly prepared with great attention to detail.The restaurant always looks full and is very busy but there is no pressure to rush once you're sat inside. Service is great and, even at a large table, the food all arrives at the same time.Be aware that this restaurant does not take plastic cards as payment.

We had dinner last night in this trattoria, and as a Italian living in the Uk, I was pleased to find genuine Italian staff in this not so famous corner of Germany! The meal was good but not excellent, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere.

Brilliant and classy Italian restaurant. The food is excellent and the service is even better. PS - The waiter could have warned us about the size of the portions :)

The restaurant was quite busy but staff friendly and service was fine. Food was OK. Not very exciting but good enough.
