this restaurant is oriented towards the theatre audience - the seating positions and timing of the orders are designed to get the people on time and off. I recently visited the trattoria salvatore as a single diner who did not visit the theatre. even though I had no reservation, they found me a seat. the service was loud, hasty and impersonal - I had the feeling that the oberkellner wobbled me - and I speak German (maybe it is easy to be style). the food and the wine were really good. if this was a different restaurant, I would probably eat there more often during my last visit to Gottingen. if they have a hurry to get to the theater, this is probably a good arrangement.

I went with a few friends to this Italian restaurant as it was recommended as one of the most beautiful Italians in göttingen, but was quite disappointed by the service. our waiter was quite rude, he gave us the offer of the week as soon as we could not understand it, one of our friends was too late and they mentioned it to her when she arrived. it felt like they were just going to get our order and close the load for the night and it was only 8.30 a.m.! they even took our menu back before we ordered! the food was in order, but nothing special. the service has really spoiled us the night. I wouldn't return there.

the restaurant offers really few foods on the menu. and although many wine bottles hang on the wall, there is surprisingly no wine card. when we insisted on knowing the wine options, they let us wait long and only brought a bottle that we had not ordered without giving the price (for the wee there was another price on the menu). it was a good barbera d’asti, but not overwhelming and too expensive for its price. eating was nothing special. but the worst must be mentioned: theatrical and rude service, "a la italiana". I went to the trattoria salvatore to get a fast Italian food and that's exactly what I got. we had a pizza that was in order, but not exceptional. the place is very loud. I had a table at the back and on the other side the wall was the kitchen. very loud and uncomfortable. the personal was inattentive and busy with other, more regular customers. when they come here: ask for a table in the front part of the restaurant directly from italien.

my 7-year-old and I had a fantastic meal there. the entire staff was friendly and the atmosphere was alive and relaxed at the same time. my child loved the penne noodles and I had a great pizza and a fresh salad with a good vinaigrette. we would definitely recommend it and eat it again. afterwards we made a walk near the botanical garden and enjoyed the opposite where the restaurant is located.

the food was exceptionally delicious. my societies had ravioli, I had the fish of the day with salat as a supplement. they had nothing glutenfri on the menu, but they prepared me a dish with fish and vegetables. the service was friendly and personal.

Trattoria-like atmosphere, finest weine, spectacular cuisine, first class meat, seasonal fresh fish and vegetables, excellent homemade pasta.
