Had been coming here frequently for many years when it was still Zooma, but hadn’t come since it was renamed. Decided to try it again for my wedding anniversary, and can confidently say we won’t be back. A lot was not up to the par it was back then but my wife and I were really disappointed in the service, especially because it used to be top notch. I remember Zooma was my dream serving job myself when I was younger and how hard it was to get a job there before, even as a server of 10+ years with lots of experience. However, apparently, now they just hire whoever walks through the door. Truly disappointing as this used to be my #1 Italian spot in all of Rhode Island.
I visited Zooma in Providence for the first time and did some research beforehand. It's situated in the historic Federal Hill neighborhood, which seemed like a great spot for a first meeting. When I arrived, I was warmly welcomed and seated by our server, Gianna. She was fantastic, being attentive, patient, informative, and professional. We ordered truffle fries, Margherita pizza, and Salad Rinforso, all of which were delicious. The atmosphere was elegant and relaxing. I can't wait to return and spend more time there.
Food was good, but not anything extra about it I will be dying to get back for. Good menu with plenty of options. Server had zero personality and had us shouting our order from the end of a large group, long table instead of moving around to us. Service was fast, busser did a great job.
We were seated and did not have a server come to our table for 20 minutes. This continued and when we finally received our food, all 4 of our meals were cold. We just wanted to leave as soon as we could. Very disappointing! I will never go back.

The food is always excellent. Server was very good, but service was a bit slow. That could be from the kitchen. The owner came to check on us and gave us a birthday dessert. Overall a great experience.
Loud but it was Providence homecoming weekend. They also sat us in heavy traffic area, which I understand since crowded. Great food though. Waiter very knowledgeable.
Excellent food, but the soup and appetizers arrived at the same time, and we were done with neither before the entrees arrived. Timing needs to be improved.
Our party of 6 had an amazing evening Great service and everyone enjoyed their meal Only issue was took extra 20 min after our reservation to be seated.

everything was delicious! I had my favorite dish,Farfalle alla zooma so amazing. our server, gianna, was wonderful!
