A great hearty menu of pies and stews. If you've been for a long hike it's the kind of pub food that will fill you and re-energise the soul. We ate there on Saturday night at 7.30pm and one table left for the 4 of us. We had Hungarian goulash, ramblers stew, Brunswick stew and steak pie and all of us enjoyed the flavours and portion size. As for accessibility, there is no disabled access to the toilets, and getting a wheelchair in would be quite a challenge due to the steps. Pricing is reasonable, ranging between £10 to £20 per person. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at a 3 out of 5. If you’re looking for a recommended dish, the Large Pork Pie with Two Cheeses from a choice of 40 varieties comes highly suggested. Parking can be somewhat challenging, but there is a free parking lot available.

Absolutely superb. Well kept excellent beer selection with equally good lager and cider. The cheese is unequaled in variety and presentation with a super selection of other dishes.
