Trawlers Fish - Reserva de mesa

Couldn’t believe the low quality of the fish that I received tonight, so bad that I took it back and complained that I thought it was reheated from the morning-full of grease in the batter. They exchanged it without any problem, but when I returned home this next piece of fish was just as bad. I think they have a problem with either the batter, or more than likely the temperature of their oil? The chips were okay, mushy peas etc all okay. This is the second or third time that it has not been great since the management change.

Have used Trawerls since it opened... many different owners some great some bad.... As of today 1st April 2022 it will be last time using them. Order large chips and looks good in a big box but is only one layer of chips inside so works out your lucky if you get a normal bag! Bttered sausges... one was great the other was dry and crispy. Food was luke warm! So forget this place and get yourself down to the JOLLY FISH BAR on the High St. Best chip shop in town and they owner is great...Bye Bye Trawlers

I’m gluten free, for the first time my cod was over cooked and dry chips were ok,could have done with another minute Hubby had Haddock usually he loves it but he said it was really greasy. Such a shame. There were masses of chips, it is such a waste of food half the portion would have easily done us both.

Popped in today 21st April 2022, wont be gong again awful food, Chips too big like beefeater chips,cod dry and batter greasy,it used to be the place to go for fish and chips in daventry for me, Not anymore, I don’t know if it’s changed owners but believe me they’re the worse I’ve ever had, Avoid . Chips cold and rock hard. Burger ok at best. 8 staff behind counter. 1 wearing a mask, 1 exempt, 2 with it hanging round their chin, and others didn't bother. Not good enough, very irresponsible, and correct me if I am wrong, illegal. Won't return in a rush, plenty of others nearby.

We look forward so much to our fish and chips at Trawlers. However having driven for 2 hours looking forward to our dinner we arrived to find Trawler’s to find it closed. Do not rely on Trip Advisor published times

Service slow (deliveroo orders processed ahead of in-store customers). Food order mixed up. Quality of food disappointing. Employees unhelpful and uninterested. Think we will be going elsewhere in future, sadly.

Smallest piece of fish ever would just feed a child, chips were awful full of bad bits and cooked badly for the money they charge very poor value, will not be back.

2 fish and chips take away and some peas Fish was very nice Chip’s cooked perfectly We shall be back
