Treehouse - Reserva de mesa

We had a late breakfast or early lunch there--my partner had a bacon eggs benny and I had the cabbage borscht with toast. The egg dish was delicious. So was the soup, which is served with sour cream and garlic toast (the toast is either...whole wheat or part whole wheat). The potatoes that came with the egg dish, however, should have been but were not browned. The dessert was also not as good. We split an order of peach/mango crisp ala mode. There was only a little fruit under a very hard topping. The serving of vanilla ice cream, however, was generous and the ice cream was of good quality. The restaurant is in a very old building, so expect that floors to slope. Service is good.

We had this restaurant recommended and they lived up to the recommendation. The service was great and they even customized their breakfast special for us. It came with bacon but they offered to substitute in spinach for us, as we prefer to eat vegetarian. It's...great to have tasty food that isn't made ahead of time but doesn't keep you waiting either. Staff were very busy providing great service with a smile. The coffee just kept flowing. It's definitely a great place for breakfast and centrally located in the small downtown of Kalo. We hope to return.

We stopped twice on a short tour of the Kootenays, once going to a destination and again returning. I had a full breakfast in the first visit which was only average but my partner had a soup/sandwich combo which was delicious, particularly the soup (minestrone)...which is why we stopped on our return. This time we both had (different) soups (borsht and clam chowder) which were delicious and packed full of ingredients. Amongst the best soups we have ever had. We bought containers of various soups to take home!

The Treehouse has finally reopened after months of closure and renovation. Nice job on the renos. Too early to provide a detailed review. Initially the prices are reasonable, the menu is quite close to the previous owners and the service is excellent. Wishing the...new proprietors all the best into and beyond Covid. Have eaten here over the years and enjoyed our meals. Returning this year we discovered the business has new owners. They have renovated the place and has an enlarged patio. Happy to say we had a good experience, friendly staff and I still loved my...eggs bennie . My partner enjoyed her breakfast as well. We are here for a week and will be back, a solid diner.

So glad the Treehouse has reopened after being closed for a while. They did a great job on the Reno’s and I’m pleased that they kept the menu more or less the same. Very reasonably priced and yummy pan fried potatoes not tater tots. Plus...it’s open early which is handy when eating breakfast.

Best eggs Benny I’ve had in a long time !! Everything very hot and tasty. Really good hollandaise. Hubby had clubhouse sandwich and also really enjoyed. Coffee hot and delicious Place was busy at on a Sunday, short wait for a table. Servers...friendly and hustling.

We ate breakfast here twice, menu is extensive and all food looked excellent, we were well looked after and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Lots of coffee.

Best borscht ever! Also great other choices. Service is excellent. Food is home cooking. Desserts are also homemade. Best place in Kaslo to eat frankly.
