We went to Trettachstuble because we were looking for a restaurant nearby in Oberstdorf and saw that it had out of stars on Tripadvisor. But it was very poor. First off the waitress was pushing drinks drinks drinks as soon as we sat...down. We ordered bottled water for all of us (our german wasn't good enough to order tap water) and at the end when we saw the bill we realised the drinks were more expensive than the food!! Most of us ordered goulash soup, which was very small. It tasted ok. My year old had the dinosaur shaped chicken nougats (there was very little else on the children's menu, believe me), and they were just ok. Waitress not warm or friendly at all. Plus : fast service, good location (especially with kids, right next to minigolf), reasonably good food. Minus : personnel is very busy with the enormous crowd of visitors and have no time whatsoever to be friendly or provide something more than just dropping the orders...on the tables. This place is good to go for a standard lunch/dinner at fair prices. Don't expect any fine dining or exceptional experience though...

During our 8 day stay in Oberstdorf we went for a meal on three occasions, partly because it was close to our rented accommodation but also because of the reviews on TripAdvisor. Twice we enjoyed the asparagus, which were in season, the other time we ate a vegetarian meal. All three meals were tasteful and the staff were attentive.

We went here, because it is close to the ice skating arena. The seating arrangement inside is fine, but the food is average. We had Haxen, which came very fast. However my meat wasn't so great, my partner liked it better. Next time we will...take the extra walk and go to Saschas Kachelofen again, to which we have been many times.

Took the fish well prepared, staff not exactly very friendly. Lots of people lots of choice no problem but was expecting more
