We visited a charming pub on a Friday evening in early September. I had made a reservation and our table was ready when we arrived. The friendly young lady at the bar was welcoming and skillful. The atmosphere was relaxing with jazzy music playing at a comfortable volume. The nacho portion we ordered was generous and delicious. My wife enjoyed her beef madras, which was clearly made with care and homemade. I had a ribeye steak cooked medium rare, which was tasty and tender despite being slightly overcooked. Overall, we had a great evening and enjoyed the character of this lovely village pub. It was a nice experience.
We booked ahead in October half term but we’re the only people eating when we were there between 6-8pm. Very friendly staff. Excellent food and big portions. We started with nachos and cheesy garlic bread, then had a burger, fish and chips, ham egg and chips, and a potato broccoli and cheese bake. Would highly recommend for a reasonably priced family dinner.
This is a well run and very busy Pub. The food is well cooked and presented. We had a Sunday lunch and a dinner. The lunch had nine vegetables with beef, pork or lamb. The dinner was a pre-ordered seafood platter. Both meals were delicious. Best to pre-book a table as a number of people were not able to be served as they had not booked.
The food and service at this restaurant are consistently exceptional. We have been dining here since 2016 and have never been let down, except for during the COVID-19 closures. We hope to squeeze in another visit before we leave.

Brilliant food and friendly service what more could you need , they have a good choice for GF which my mother in law enjoyed it was so nice we booked again on our holiday week also dog friendly

A very friendly and well presented pub. Excellent food with an extensive menu of meats and fish. Great atmosphere. Very popular pub and pre-booking is advisable.
