Trikuharri Taberna Jatetxea

We didn 't want to ride the bus on a very rainy afternoon so we navigated to this restaurant and found street parking a few blocks away. Another English speaking couple just leaving said they liked their calamari and beef cheeks so we got those two dishes for sharing and a glass of wine each delicious inexpensive lunch and a look at the Antigua neighborhood. Please note the dishes for sharing are very generous. Two were more than enough for us, two fairly big eaters.

It is very difficult to find a place without prior reservation in San Sebastian. But we were incredibly lucky and we were able to try real Pintxoa. And the charming Izaskun not only helped with their choice, but also recommended several places to visit. A light lunch with coffee, local Txakoli and the Pintxoa set cost only twenty euros.

No me parecieron merecidas las críticas positivas. La comida fue más o menos promedio, aunque después de pasar 3 semanas en Francia fue difícil comparar o encontrar buenos restaurantes en San Sebastián.

The main menu is the way to go here. We took the waitress’s recommendation and got the squid and beef cheeks. Both dishes were perfect and had lots of flavor.

Excellent local Pinchos!! Lovely informal place with local people! Really good pinchos and jamon iberico and they also know what is it celiac disease!
