As someone born and raised in Jamaica it sucks to say this but the truth is the truth. Do not waste your money here. Service is awful and the food isn’t much better. Extremely rude staff and subpar food. Ordered rice and peas and chicken and instead they served me slop with a side of attitude and smirk. There are many wayyy better tasting and way better service Jamaican restaurants around. I’d give a lower rating if it was possible. Definitely not worth the money. Hardly edible.
Best food around. Have been ordering food from this restaurant since it was located on 1st Ave in Maywood. Although it 's a longer distance, its the only place that I go to. The j Catfish is soooo delicious as well as the oxtails and chicken. Andrew(owner) is always pleasant and friendly. Front desk clerk has become my best friend . Highly recommended!!
I've been a regular at this restaurant for over 15 years. Sadly, as I write this review, they are currently closed, and I really hope they reopen soon. The food has always been consistently good. This is my top choice for Jamaican cuisine in the Chicagoland area.

I absolutely love this place! I've been there twice, once in 2017 and again in 2018. It was great back then, but now it's amazing! Everything I tried was even better than I remembered.
The food is pretty good the chicken has a really good flavor it's tender and juicy also the sides wasn't bad either the Mac and cheese is my favorite side item
We had our first taste of the delicious food in Maywood, now in north lake still delicious do yourself a favor check it out.Parking: Plenty of space.
