The owner has an older woman working the register and taking calls. She is a very nasty woman and has no respect for customers or the money they spend there. I called the restaurant on the pick up day and time to inform them I was running late picking up my catered order. She threatened to sell my catered order of nearly $300 of which I had already paid $150 deposit several days prior because I told her I was running an hour late picking it up. Once I arrived and paid the remaining balance, she deliberately made me wait over 30 minutes before she would allow the other workers to bring the food out, however, she told me over the phone an hour prior that the food me was ready at the time I called and that they could not continue to hold my order beyond the pick up time. So in essence, no matter how much of a deposit you pay, if you 're not there at pick up time, you may or may not get your order and you will not get a refund. When I asked her when the food was cooked, she responded by saying, We cooked the food two days ago. To make matters worse, she refused to give me part of my order or refund any money and basically stopped assisting me. The other employees are afraid of her because of her relationship with the owner. As I waiting to get my order that had been paid in full by this point, another customer asked about a menu item and the woman treated him in the same nasty way she treated me, instead of answering him yes or no, she told him to look on the board. I work hard for my money, as I 'm sure everyone does. To have selected this restaurant out of the many options available to me and travel nearly 40 miles so they could cater my special party was an awful experience. I have always liked Tripical Times, which is why I selected them, but in a world where there are so many options, I will never give them anymore of my business just to be treated with such disrespect and basically get robbed of my money when they refused to give me the complete order I paid for.

There should be ample seating for customers that are waiting. I was told I could not seat in the dine in chairs. There were no waiting seats available. The female owner told me I had to until a seat became available. I politely asked for my $30 back...
