This place has been an old staple for me and my friends. We don't go every week or even every month. But for years we've always made a point of often going back to Trovata. Until tonight. The food is great. The staff are great. The experience is nice. It's like comfy shoes. But getting a bill with a directive to pay a 10% tip (not a recommendation - a directive "please add recommend tips 10%") with the amount circled by the staff with a smiley face? Sorry no. I'll tell you when you deserve a tip. Not the other way around. And you would have gotten it too. Instead you got not tip, and it's likely going to be a long time before you get a return visit. I'm not going to give Trovata a bad rating...
We were staying in a beautiful AirBNB nearby and wanted to enjoy our lovely view, so we opted for takeout pizza from Trovata. These pizzas were hands down the best we've ever tasted. They were so delicious that we ended up choosing to have them again the following night after a long day of sightseeing, and they were just as amazing the second time around! The service was excellent, with incredibly friendly and helpful staff.
We had a great time at Trovata. The food reminded us of home-cooked Italian dishes. We tried the pasta with sausage and the risotto, both of which were delicious and generously portioned. The prices were very reasonable. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was friendly. The wine selection was good. We look forward to trying the pizza on our next visit.
We have been eating here for years - some lunches however principally dinner - there are specials and a wide ranging menu - the pizzas are excellent in that the whole base is covered with the food and dressing - large servings of pasta too :-) It is difficult to decide just what to order - and the specials always are so enticing !

Had the Peri-peri chicken pizza and wow it was the most amazing pizza I've had. Pizza had really crispy crust and a lot of meat and dressing on top.Pasta was also amazing!! Tried the boscaiola pasta and it had the perfect amount of creamy sauce on top.Must visit!!
Friendly service, food looked and tasted great, clean homely feel, good choice on there menu. Worth going to for a bite to eat if your in the city. Need to book at nights I'm sure if the food was as good as we had.
This was a little restaurant on a side street. As a starter the salad was huge. I had the Lasagna and my wife had the spinach and sausage pasta. Both were excellent.
Das Restaurant ist schlicht gestylt. Die Bedienung ist freundlich. Das Essen war gut. Die aktuellen Angebote sind empfehlenswert.

This place is really confused about who it is (Mediterranean ? Italian?) and their service is beyond terrible.
We just ordered four pizzas (and paid for four) but two were delivered.
