The service I experienced was atrocious. Visited today for the first time, and don’t see myself visiting again anytime soon. Our waiter was inattentive. For example, after numerous attempts at flagging her down for a water refill, she came to refill our glasses. However, she only had a small amount of water so she said she’d return with more. She didn’t return for another 20+ minutes. When the food for my entire table arrived, it was some other waiter who delivered our food. So she started setting it down in front of whoever she wanted. i have been to many true foods locations and have loved it every time. We went to this location in newport beach and although the ambience was nice and our server was attentive and great..the food was horrendous!!! we ordered the crispy chicken sandsich, a burger and the spaghetti squash and each item was horrendous and barely edible. the chicken was strips not a patty and it was as hard as a rock. the burger was completely overcooked and the macaroni and cheese side was completely tasteless. the baked spaghetti squash was cold on the inside and tasted like squash and tomato paste mixed with no seasoning or flavor. absolutely terrible.
I want to start by emphasizing that I love True Food Kitchen but this location disappointed me greatly. Service was mediocre and my steak was hard to chew, just not the quality I expect from this restaurant. The only reason why I left a tip was in appreciation for the restaurant. This was Saturday 17 at around 4pm
I love going to this restaurant and I love the atmosphere. I love sitting outside. The staff is amazing. I love the food but this time for some reason maybe it just came too fast but the things that should've been warm were not but it would never prevent me from going again because I love going there.

Ice cream portions (never a full scoop or larger than a golf ball) continue to be extremely measly and not worth the $10.50 dessert. Would appreciate some portion consistency across doordash/take out and dining in
True food kitchen soups and bowls are beyond delicious! It is our take out lunch place. Their dishes have flavor and taste. I highly recommend! My vegetarian colleagues like it too.
The Japchae salmon were pretty good, especially as GF options. Cilantro pesto was very a bland dish would have preferred a traditional pesto flavor.
Food was cold, waited forever for waiter to come with water!! Waiter was charmimg and mgr comped us dessert so that was nice. Overall very average

Been here many times in person too. Pricey but always solid, never over seasoned yet always tasty. recommended
EXCELLENT AS ALWAYS. LASAGNE WAS COLD. (DOORDASH 20 MINUTES) SALMON WAS BRAISED SUSHI. (EXCELLENT CUT OF FISH)
