True Grit Tavern - Reserva de mesa

I highly advise against visiting this place. It feels very unsafe at night. I had a terrible experience there yesterday. I was sitting at the bar waiting to be served, but it seemed like the staff completely ignored me. Then, a man sitting next to me told me to move. Shortly after, one of the workers confronted me aggressively, even threatening to call the police over something I hadn’t done. Honestly, the clientele and staff raised a lot of red flags. The man who spoke to me looked like he had just come out of prison with tattoos covering his body. The overall atmosphere was unsettling, and I definitely won't be returning.

Our waiter, London, was quick, friendly, and fantastic. The burgers we ordered were excellent—one was a double bacon burger and the other was a spicy Southwest Fire (or something similar in name). If you enjoy spicy foods, I definitely recommend trying it. Both burgers were cooked to perfection, and I'll share a photo in the comments. The fries, however, could have used a little salt. This was our first visit, and we're already planning to return soon!

Update: The power of social media. I hate it but we in the restaurant industry have to live with it. My server and I are great after we communicated better. My Quesadilas were excellent and “Nelly” and I are all good. Great recovery True Grit! Plus I’ve been back a few times this past week and they are doing great, Nelly, Tina Maria and the rest of the gang. All good!

My favorite dining spot in Maricopa! I believe they have the best burgers in town. The atmosphere is always nice and relaxing. I've seen some reviews mentioning slow service, but I don’t find it any different from other places I visit for food or drinks. I highly recommend it as a great local hangout! Reserva una mesa ahora

Wow, great food and service at True Grit tonight. Your menu is diverse, I had to build your own burger . . Grilled chicken, pepper jacket and buffalo sauces on Brioche beer, delicious. The only thing better was the incredible service of Daniel, who gave us absolutely five star service!

I love Taco Tuesdays! I have been there for it twice now and not only is the BBQ chicken awesome but this week I tried the shrimp tacos and fish tacos and they are bomb!!!! Highly recommend!!

The food was incredible, and the portion sizes were excellent for the price. The staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere was quite relaxing. We'll definitely be returning soon.

Best burgers in town, and everything else is great too. The beer cheese and pretzel bun combo is on point.
