Contemporary is the feel in this place, and a lot of love. Well priced and poised for take outs, Tsuke-ba is consistently excellent in the food, with some strange occasional clangers. Unlike many bland Japanese style outlets, the ingredients feel authentic, though I admit to having never visited Japan.Make the effort and take a seat, take your time and savor it. There's some good people watching and the experience may be one of the least expensive meals that you will have.Take out is groovy also, try the Sumo Salad, which is part of a stable of very healthy alternatives to bread. I was out riding and really fancied some sashimi for lunch. I cruised in to Northbridge but nothing was open so headed home. As I was riding through Leederville I wondered if the little place at the end of the walk through shopping bit was still there. I hadn't been in years but it turns out it was still there. They have a particularly impressive selection of items, and I chose a salmon sashimi and pickled octopus salad. They were $16 and were enough for both lunch and dinner. Salmon was really fresh and delicious. My only gripe was that the coleslaw base had no dressing, but I took it home and smothered it in mayo and sriracha sauce. Have wandered past this arcade restaurant on and off over the years.It has a range of fresh sushi rolls and hot food on display, quite popular with most customers taking away.Had lunch here today, enjoyed a hot chicken teriyaki and noodle dish plus a squid stick.Sat at an island bar along with other customers - enjoyed my meal along with a soft drink.Staff are friendly and helpful - this place is ok - recommended.
This place does cheap sushi and bento boxes that are pre packed. Unfortunately the good stuff finishes there, the food tasted old and soggy, all three of us didn't like anything we ate from there apart from the sweet chilli mustard chicken coleslaw which doesn't seem very authentic at all. Not happy and won't go back. The food was pretty disgusting.

If you want sushi for dinner, drop by after about 5pm as they do a markdown and you can pick up multi-packs for cheap.
Now I know sushi rolls are quite healthy - but if you want a treat, these guys do DEEP FRIED SUSHI ROLLS!! That's right - they panko-crumb these mothers and deep-fry them ... and they are awesome!
I really like the variety of Tsuke-Ba. They have Bento boxes. All kinds of sushi with a variety of rice and then plenty of healthy salad box options. They also do their own version of a Poke bowl and it is delicious. I had a tuna sashimi and soba noodle salad box. Jam packed with lots of variety and at a good price!
This is an ok take away/ dine in lunch bar. If you like a quick, reasonably priced Japanese take away, this is a reasonable choice. The turnover is high so the food is fresh.
This Japanese place certainly pulls in a crowd! There is nearly always a queue, however the staff work efficiently to get your order.

What an amazing little Japanese joint They sell an array of sushi nigiri salads hot foods you name it Also brown rice and quinoa sushi.
