Tuckers - Reserva de mesa

Hungry, fussy children are never easy to please. But a visit to Tuckers worked a treat. They were fascinated by the staircase that went nowhere, and that kept them going while we waited for our food. Fish and chips that tasted just as they should! Crispy batter (slightly greasy) firm tasty cod, and chips that made me wish I never had to diet again. We went twice during our weeks holiday and yes, you might have to wait a little while if it's busy, but the food is worth it. Only dropped to 4* because of the polystyrene eco friendly would be better.

Terrible experience. The cod was completely covered in batter; it shouldn't be called fish and chips, more like batter and chips. Disappointing. We returned to show them the dry, mostly batter "fish". I prefer the fish bar called Star Bar down the street, higher quality and cheaper. Avoid this restaurant at all costs.

The best fish and chips we have had in a very long time! Good value for money with two regular and two small for £23. The fish actually had a nice taste, unlike most fish from a take away which don't taste of anything. Very short wait and staff polite and helpful. If you are in Wells this is worth buying from.

I love fish and chips. However the experience I had recently was as follows. The cod was over cooked in the fryer and it had more batter than actual fish. The chips were soggy and didn’t seem to have salt and vinegar on them as I did ask. My mushy peas were just disgusting. I will never go again. Reserva una mesa ahora

I arrived a couple of minutes before opening time and was surprised to find staff arriving after me at opening time! They had to get changed so unsurprisingly the shop opened nearly five minutes late. The food was OK but the fish was very greasy...

Like the last reviewer said. Great food, shambolic service. Polite but totally disinterested staff (average age...18? . Texting, talking to boyfriends while 10 are in the queue. No sense of urgency. No apology for the (unnecessary wait.

Always excellent food. Chips are lovely and fresh and so is the fish. Always a pleasure to visit. I wish I wasn’t on a diet so I could visit more often!

Not happy paid for food and when got it home food that was paid for was not received and this is not the first time its happened.

Food quality is ok but not a patch on there cheddar shop. Service is Poor staff are slow and disinterested
