This was very popular Chinese restaurant in it's Lakeview days at the beginning of the Tuggeranong Town Centre. It was always packed for lunch and dinner. Our extended family had many birthday dinners here. They briefly had yum cha on weekends, which is always a drawcard with Asian families. The Lakeview had a very boring menu of all the usual banquet cliches, like beef in black bean sauce, honey prawns, honey chicken, shredded chili beef, peppered steak, sweet and sour pork, etc. When it became Tuggie Palace, the new owners brought a fresh approach with a predominantly Honk Kong (Cantonese) menu, supplemented by Malaysian, Thai and Vietnamese dishes. The food is always tasty, prompt and good...

The place at first glance looks really inviting however the poor lighting and quiet atmosphere combined with equally unenthusiastic staff brings the meal down. The food however is fantastic and I do recommend trying multiple dishes in a group so you can try a bit of everything. If they were more friendly and fixed some of the lighting issues this place would be so much better.

It's just hanging in there !!!!! been there for a long time under a different name , the lemon chicken was good the rest was similar to a all you can eat at a plaza, the desert in a banquet we ordered was scoops of ice cream on one plate for everyone weird . very average. The decor needs a revamp and the staff needs training.

The food here is always good and reasonably priced. The Peking Duck Pancakes are always a favourite. When my interstate friends visit they always want to visit this restaurant. I have not had a bad meal here and over the years have had many meals here. Reserva una mesa ahora

Had Tuggies Palace for the first time in years on the weekend and it was Fantastic! We got takeaway and it was fast and everything was really good. Whenever we get chinese from tuggeranong area it will be from these guys. Was excellent.

We've eaten here several times before and most recently with the re-badged 'Tuggie Palace. We were catching up with some old friends in a trip back to Canberra and pleased to find the food just as good as ever and good value.

While an unassuming place, the food is surprisingly good and the service is quaint. The best dish is their Peking duck pancakes, which are the finest in Canberra - I've tried all of them!
