This is not TUK TUK , as we know it it is no longer owned by the people who own TUK TUK Newtownards but seems to be trading on the original TUK TUKs reputation and actually it doesn’t come close . It’s a bit confusing as it’s kept the name but it’s no longer called TUK TUK Asian bistro just TUK TUK bistro too. The Food is inferior , it’s just a bog standard Chinese with pretty **** food but still charging TUK TUK prices , and the delivery pick up service is a shambles we were told to ring at 5 pm , eventually got through at 6.30 to pick up at 7.30, and eventually got food about 8.45pm!
I ordered sweet and sour chicken at this restaurant, but when I received my order, it had no sauce. I called and was told a driver would bring some to me. Unfortunately, the driver was instructed to charge me 2 pounds for the mistake, even though they ended up giving me salt and chilli chicken instead. I was very disappointed that they got my order wrong and then charged me for their mistake. This was my first time using their services and I will not be returning.
This restaurant is a complete disaster. It seems that it is no longer owned by Tuk Tuk. Despite placing a pre-order for takeaway during the week, when I went to collect it, no one had any knowledge of it. I only found out through Facebook that they have ceased operation at this location. The management is extremely inadequate. They truly deserve to shut down.
This is NOT Tuk Yuk, despite still being on their website, it is simply a Chinese take away and a mediocre one at that.
