First time dining in Tumea Sons. We had tried their food during the pandemic and wanted the full experience. Of course, we went on a Saturday night and their was a huge Christmas Party so tables were at a premium. The hostess was amazing as she kept us updated. While, we were waiting, I went up to the bar and asked for a cocktail menu. Love a good cocktail menu. They didn't have one. When that happens I order Bombay Sapphire gin and tonic. Limes were cut very thin. I really like a lot of lime in my gin and tonic. We were seated and we ordered the garlic bread with cheese. My girl ordered the Fettucine Alfredo with no add ons. Went on a Friday at 530. Seated right away. Decor is vintage, religious, family style. Seemed clean, including the bathroom. Lots of young staff members and a few of the owners family working. Frank Sinatra music playing in the background. We didn't have as much time as we would have liked so we ordered a half order of onion rings and an Italian sandwich with a side salad and house dressing. BF ordered a greyhound which they came back and said they didn't have the syrup for. A greyhound is vodka and grapefruit juice so we just shared what it is and they brought his drink back. We were underwhelmed with the food. The onion rings didn't seem completely cooked. The sandwich bread was crazy dry....
Absolutely phenomenal food and service. Natalie offers first-class service. Our drinks were always full and they are very fast. We started with her chicken strips for an app. They were definitely hand-baked, crispy and so amazing! Then second course of Wisconsin cheese soup and salad with her house dressing. Your house is creamy garlic, which is very tasteful. Our Entrees chose special, the Jumbo filled bowls in their Diablo sauce and Italian club sandwich. I've been eating here for over a decade and I've never had a bad meal...just the opposite..if you want to know the essence of Italian food in this town then Tumea's should be on your check list...Mario, Louie and Joe make it like you want to eat it. The daily lunch special is always affordable and delicious. You can't go wrong. The ambiance is just what an Italian restaurant down by the river ought to be. Keep it up fellas. Here I am spiritually transported with my taste buds to historic Italy. The environment is robust – full of laughter – and a relaxed attitude. The greeting was not as outrageous as the afternoon shift — I felt hastened to order during a not so crowded time. I ordered Penne Salsiccia – it was something else. I'll come back with the verdict. Visited Tumea for my birthday dinner on 22nd July 2022. One star down for slow service at the beginning after we were seated and for the Cocktail prawns because I did not like the taste. It could have been better. Rest we ordered which was good. Garlic bread served with sauce was amazing. Penne pasta was delicious. Thank you
Since I'm ready to leave the restaurant... my first time here will definitely not be my last. I think the whole family is here, but I do. I'm impressed and the food was delicious. Alone was able to buy creamy garlic dressing to take home. You now have a new customer!!! Very impressed!
