My husband and I have been patrons for many many years. We moved interstate, but when ever we are in Sydney Tung Tong's is always on our agenda. It seems that no matter what day of the week, there is always loads of people dining on the best Thai food in the district, probably the city. The selection of food is fabulous,the amount of food is unreal, and the price is unbelievable. The staff are all very friendly and everyone is always welcomed with a friendly smile. The decor is typically Thai, with the exception, you wont be sitting on the floor. Never a complaint at this restuarant, unless you cant get a table. Be wise, and book ahead.
Tung Tong Roong is one of those restaurants which are very modest about what they are able to offer. The ambience is pleasant without being 'loud' or over crowded with the inevitable 'just one extra table'.The reality of my 71 visits to Thailand immediately betrays my love and admiration of these gentle folk. These qualities are evident in the efficient yet unassuming service. BUT THE HERO is the wonderfully delicious food. My mouth is watering as I write!The servings are VERY generous and I urge you to share some time with the Tung Tong Roong.
Celebrating two birthdays with friends - this is my favourite local Thai - we eat here every month or so. Great menu - we aim to try something different each time in addition to our favourites. Last night was no exception - lovely food and great service. very well priced - 3 entree pieces per person and five mains to share for less than $35 per head. BYO wine etc. Already looking forward to next time.
Their laksa is excellent, service is great and not long to wait for order to be served, appreciated when one is on an hour's lunch break! Other dishes are tasty as well and most affordable. I tend to stick to my order of various laksas on offer - prawn, seafood, chicken etc. Yumm!

We have always enjoyed our visits here. The staff are warm and friendly and can adapt menu choices to suit dietary needs. The seating is comfortable and the tables well spaced. There is no feeling of being rushed but meals arrive speedily.
You will get a broad selection of all your favourite Thai dishes. All of them will be generously sized and have a certain freshness that will not leave you disappointed. A lovely little restaurant.
The team at Tung Tong Roong Thai are always so friendly and welcoming. The food is authentic and excellent and the service even better! A regular for me and always will be ... thank you!
Have had take-away and sit down meals here. Traditional favourites and a few exoctics on the menu. Always well patronised and always very good. Recommended.

We've been going to Gail at this the Tung Tong Roong and her previous restaurant for over 20 years. The service is always first class and the food amazing
