Twisted Steak offers a great menu with plenty of options for a steakhouse. I really enjoyed the apple beet goat cheese salad, and my partner appreciated the perfectly sized French Onion soup, made just right. Our main courses included nicely roasted vegetables with a firm texture. I had a flavorful mushroom risotto, and my partner’s stuffed potato was exactly as expected. Our server was attentive and remembered to bring the pepper grinder with our main dishes. Unfortunately, the steaks didn’t live up to expectations. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. I don’t usually write reviews, but since I always check them before trying a new restaurant, I wanted to share my experience to help others decide. The staff were friendly, and we had reservations since it was Father’s Day. The place was busy as we passed through Kamloops and decided to give it a try. We ordered the dry-aged ribeye cooked medium, but it arrived medium well. When we asked for another, it came out blue rare. Our appetizers weren't even warm—we had escargots—and the Caesar salad was overloaded with dressing. Both the server and manager apologized, but we won’t be returning or recommending this place. The meal was delicious! Although a bit on the expensive side, it was definitely worth the indulgence. They surprised the birthday guest with a complimentary miner’s pie topped with a candle.
