Went to dinner here on the recommendation of hotel staff and was not disappointed. We were so tired after racing around all day that we almost ordered take away and am so glad we didn't. Not only does the food taste better when it hasn't been transported but we would have missed the quirkiness of the place. Simply decorated this small space served a delicious inexpensive meal to two weary travellers. Starting with pork dumplings, we progressed to the tastiest chicken lard salad and crying tiger beef ( slightly disappointing considering the standard of the rest of the meal) followed by dessert. Dined here twice or make that 3 times when in sydney recently. Did review under Two seat Thai as well. All the dishes I had came with fresh carrots, beans, mushrooms, corn, spring onion and brocolli with a good ratio of vegetables to meat. The chiken satay skewers at $1.90 each for an entree were an absolute bargain. Fresh and beautifully cooked with a great satay sauce on top. Had a pumpkin stirfry, a wide noodle dish for takeaway, fresh spring rolls and a satay chicken dish. BYO wine excellent value will go back. Staff really pleasant hospitality at its best.
Had the Thai fish cake and salt and pepper soft shell crab for starters, and a dish called 'Drunken Noodles' for mains. It's a stir fried dish using extra wide flat rice noodles. Very flavourful and very satisfying.The restaurant has a cozy ambience is a small cozy place with friendly staff and has the vibe of a friendly . and you might miss it if you weren't looking for itnear the end of the road right by Hotel 59.
My boyfriend and I visited here over the long weekend after searching for restaurants near our hotel. Was surprised at the small size but felt welcome straight away. Food was incredible- we strongly recommend their panang curry and cashew nut noodles- it was so good we ordered takeaway before our trip ended. This small Thai restaurant is a good choice when you are in the Kings Cross neighbourhood. Good fresh and tasty food. Service with a beautiful smile. Low prices. And you can bring your own beer or wine. At first we were disappointed that they didn't serve alcohol, but then we found out that you are allowed to bring your own.
Stopped in last night on the way home for a quick bite for dinner.I had a laksa and the missus had the soft Shell crab.The crab was good without being great but the laksa was excellent.Plenty of duck meat, lots of veg's and a wonderful creamy taste, just yum....Well priced, small and intimate, I will return.Enjoy
