U Cantonu - Reserva de mesa

My fiancé and I had the opportunity to visit this restaurant and I cannot describe with words how marvelous this experience was. Before going forward with this review, I just want to warn you that the restaurant is located far from the city, don't let...the location and rustic look scare you....believe me you will not regret it! As soon as we parked, we got welcomed by this sweet and beautiful Labrador. We are big dog lovers so this was the first sign that the night was going to be wonderful. Once we entered into the restaurant, we were given a charming and romantic corner overlooking the mountains. We have booked a table three days in advance and asked for a nice view on Porto Vecchio. We got reassured that we are very early and would receive a table that meets exactly our expectation. What we received then was a table in the...corner where there was the stairs up to the kitchen. No view but staying in the last corner even though we were one of the first that reserved a table was absolutely unacceptable. Parking situation also a disaster and at least five times guest had to move there car. Service very uncoordinated therefore that we had three different waiters during our diner. As we waited min for the invoice we paid directly at the entrance. Food was good but the desert disappointin...

My partner and I visited here for an evening meal being close to where we were staying and a business card for the restaurant being available at our property thinking this must be a recommendation! We were not disappointed, and despite not having a...reservation were seated quickly and brought a drink. We highly valued the humour and the descriptions of the food we had ordered from the staff as we were served. The food was delicious, we shared a Corsican platter to start with, while my partner had the lamb and myself the wild boar. Everything was cooked to perfection, and we sadly had no room for dessert! A wonderful evening and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

This is a restaurant that not only has great great traditional food with a creative twist, made well, served with big smile, but a place where you go to spend the eveninng. The setting is very unusual and very rustic and so so beautiful for...that. My table was under a fig tree and I could see the sun setting behind the mountain. The feeling of the place is very cozy and almost as if you were visiting a family that has a farm.... FINALLY in corsica I got a proper vegan meal. There was live music the whole night - I had other plans for that night but just could not leave. What a place truly truly special... for people with good taste that is Reserva una mesa ahora

We had booked by email some months before and unfortunately the booking had been lost but the owner manageress was very apologetic and they did manage to accommodate us even though the restaurant was rammed full, albeit we had a table out in the...open rather than under nets. As the presence of nets implies there are quite a few mosquitoes so come prepared. Regardless, we had a lovely night. Very evocative music lovely food wine. It gets very busy and service can get strained but was always friendly and upbeat. The pride in Corsica of the owners really shines through.

We had an evening meal for five here in late October. There were very few other customers but the service was friendly and the food wonderful. I don't have enough experience to say whether this was authentic Corsican cuisine, but it was far better than...anything else we tried in the area. Not cheap but certainly not expensive. Well worth a visit.

We had anticipated a standard restaurant but we were in for a very pleasant surprise. The location is truly rural and very authentic providing you don't mind a few flies. The welcoming and ambiance is great and matched by the quality of the corsican cuisine....We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves Thank you

We spent a nice evening listening to some Corsican music (Friday) in this restaurant located in the middle of nature. The menu at was fine. We also took a fruity red wine from Sartène with our meal. We just came out of the restaurant where we had a very bad time. The food was awful. We ordered gambas risotto and the gambas were so bad we did not wven finished. The risotto was terrible and not cooked. On top the place is...full of mosquitos and this is a very bad experience. Just don't go there.

Had a lovely dinner at this place. Very cute old stone building and the staff was super friendly. Food was a little different and pure. The ansjovis fondue starter: heaven!!
