U Fornu - Reservar una mesa

We made a day trip to Corte from Ajaccio, wandered around, and found this place. And then we feasted. I had huge pizza with olives and tuna and capers--it has since inspired us to make our own pizzas at home, and to incorporate tuna and capers into our meals more frequently. She had pasta bolognese. We had a liter of wine and took our time. It was a great, leisurely lunch. I don't remember what it cost, just that we were both amazed by how small the bill was given how much we ate and drank, and how long we lingered. note that this review is for June 2015, but for the longest time I couldn't remember the name of this place, and now I can't select to go back that far

Very good service. I sampled the set 18€ Corse menu which is a lot of food. Delicious herbe tarte, brocciu cannelloni (more like a lasagna to Americans), and the Corsican fiadone-cheesecake. Don’t order unless you’re very hungry or are sharing. I shared the tart and the dessert with my husband and was still quite full. He tried the wild boar pasta and liked it.

We stumbled upon this place on a rainy Wednesday evening. We chose the €18 menu and had simple homely tasty food which we really enjoyed served by a very sweet waitress . Terrific value for the price. The friendly patron even threw in a free digestif.

Located up the small hill from the water fountain on the Main Street, you pass a number of other restaurants all ordering similar fare. We were happy with our simple cheese omelette for lunch. Served with salad and bread, it hit the spot!

Stayed here and was excellent. Only had drinks but good stop off and enjoyed Food nearby. Understand there was Parking nearby but did not try. Bit steep!
