We have been coming to Chowder Pot IV Hartford for well over 10 years! We enjoy it even more than our 1st visit and that is what got us back!! Delicious Steaks, Lobsters, Seafood, raw-bar items and Salads. There is so much to choose from on the menu and yet they still have great specials everyday, too! The staff are very knowledgeable and most have been there long-term! When a restaurant keeps their servers over years, that is a great indication that they treat the help well. With Covid 19 and it's mandates, right now, they have adjusted accordingly and it's smooth sailing as far as we can see! Food and service are still wonderful! Jamie, the Bartender in the Captain's Lounge, is our favorit...
We like to sit at the bar and always get wonderful service there from Jamie and her team. The place hadn’t been updated in years but the food absolutely rocks! Prices are actually cheap so it’s tremendous value for awesome seafood! Favorites include lobster bisque, stuffed shrimp casserole and lazy man’s lobster. Oysters are awesome but not being served lately due to Covid-19. One of our favorite local restaurants and has been for years!!
We had a great 47th anniversary dinner at the outside dining at Chowder Pot IV. We are not ready for inside dining, so this was a perfect way to have dinner out for our anniversary. The weather cooperated, the food was great, the service was great and we would do it again! Missed the chowder pot platter from the menu, but we did well with what we picked. Got the French Onion soup and that is always great!
The food is always good, but the service could have been better. Our waitress was new and not very attentive. Could be because she did not have many tables due to the low number of diners. When we were finished eating there was a long delay in getting her attention to get our check. In these challenging times we just wanted to pay and get out, but it didn't work out that way.

Chowder Pot used to be our favorite spot, was very disappointed. I know we are in the middle of a pandemic, but service was co-workers, and prices are considerably higher than expected. Will not be going back.
Would like more health menu options especially salads made with lettuce other than iceburg.
My wife and I took my mom out for dinner. We all had great meals.
We just love this restaurant !! Great seafood at a great price !

Overall ok, the King crab legs not great, very dry.
