This is a place you must visit when on the Big Island. We have gone to a few upscale restaurants, but this one so far has been the best. Food The food is fantastic; the flavors of every dish are perfectly balanced, the portions are reasonable, and the presentation is...well you can see from the photos. If you can, aim for a Friday night because they have a special night menu. We ordered Korean Fried Chicken from it and it was the perfect balance of spicy and sweet. They gave us a complimentary chocolate souffle because we were celebrating my husband 's birthday, which he liked a lot. They even brought it with a lit candle. My wife and I celebrated dinner here after our sunset wedding. The service was exceptional. We were provided a romantic seat with a beach front view. I ordered the kona coffee crusted maui venison and she had the koji cured and smoked puna chicken. The venison was perfectly prepared, but I think the chicken was unbeatable. We also had a complimentary pineapple rum souffle which was also wonderful. The service was professional and prompt. Definitely a must to experience.

Special occasion dinner, drinks and dessert. Table like right on the beach. Just excellent all the way around in a you cannot beat this setting. Not an everyday joint at least for me as it ain’t cheap but really worth the splurge. Will go back on our next visit. Update we came back a year later for splurge night and yup good stuff worth the splurge for us visiting off property (can’t splurge THAT much currently!!
