Umai Japanese - Reservar una mesa

How in the world does this place have such a high rating? This is probably one of the absolute worse sushi restaurant I've ever been to in my life. I ordered the lunch special sushi and sashimi box. PLEASE look at my pictures. The rice to fish ratio is completely off. There salmon is swallowing the rice ball. Also...check out the sashimi. They look like leftover cuts. They aren't in uniform shape...some are even stringy. I think they just took a pile of leftover cuts from

My friend told me that this place is the last place that she wants to eat before she dies. I was here with my wife on the late night of a typical Wednesday. No one was there because we arrived almost at 9 pm but they greeted us nicely. All the waitstaff and sushi man was very friendly and welcoming even though we were late. We had $65 omakase. Hands down the best sushi and sashimi in the area. Umai?s fish is consistently above any I?ve had through my travels in the country. Chef Rae is creative and has a beautiful hand in his preparation, Clara couldn?t be more caring which result in a wonderful dining experience. This is why we are there once a week.

Outstanding! From the warm greeting when you walk in the door from Chef Rae, his wife team, to every delicate and delectable sushi, sashimi morsel presented so beautifully. It?s a wonderful weekly meal experience! (ok sometimes more than once a week ????????
