This restaurant is a hidden vegan treasure in Pennsylvania. My partner and I, who are from New York City, were visiting the Poconos and couldn't find a vegan restaurant. Thankfully, Google led us to Umami Gorilla. Everything we tried was delicious and fresh. The vegan burger, speck mac 'n cheese, and fried chicken parm bite were amazing! The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming.
We were in town for just one night and had not eaten meal all day. Eyes were definitely larger than tummy. This all vegan casual dining spot was just what we wanted. The staff was great and helpful. If in the area again we would go back. Parking is a bit tricky but doable, so one star off for this great find. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
The food at Umami Gorilla is excellent, the service is friendly, and the staff really knows their stuff when it comes to vegan cuisine! Despite being located in a residential area, this casual restaurant is definitely worth a visit. My dining companion was not vegan, but still loved the food.
This restaurant is a fantastic spot for all vegan options! The milkshakes are delicious, the mac and cheese was absolutely amazing, and the BBQ chik'n sandwich with garlic parmesan popcorn chik'n was a hit. I will definitely be visiting every time I am in town! Reserva una mesa ahora
Is it possible for something to be too big? Try the chili with candied jalapenos. Just give it a shot, unless you prefer to be surprised by your meals, or perhaps you have an aversion to joy. Make sure to bring Tupperware and a cooler. Absolutely amazing.
absolutely the best and most delicious vegan comfort food in the city, and in a fairly large radius on the map. they have eaten and take out all the time specialities. very nice and polite service. a whole day.
I'm not vegan but this food is delicious. I will recommend to all my other meat eater friends. I didn't know vegan food could be so tasty! I don't know what they put in the potato salad but it is delicious.
