Uncle 7 - Reserva de mesa

It is with regret to write something negative, as we normally don’t do so... Since its opening, we’ve frequented Uncle 7, having dinners, lunches and take-outs. Sadly, some time as of around autumn 2019, we felt that the dishes we normally order have started to change, eg dim sum doughs seemed much thicker and had less content, Szechuan taste didn’t have the usual kick and meat was very sparse, pepper shrimp was too oily and had less pieces or were smaller shrimp sizes, etc. — mind you, we’re NOT talking about what is served during lunch buffets, but rather from their à la carte menu. Delicious dim sum and good Chinese food, with plenty of tables, and extremely kind staff. Late on a weekday night, most seats were available. Unlike in summer, no outdoor seats (way too cold for that! . Good selection of dim sum, which was very tasty. Beef with black pepper was also good. Quantity and prices slightly above other Chinese restaurants. The staff was very attentive and nice. Overall a good experience. Second time there, and probably not the last.

I was surprised at how good this place was. The food was fresh and interesting. We just ordered Vegi and it was all very tasty without tasting the same. Prices are fair (as we are in Zurich) . The wait staff was sweet and helpful. I saw some negative reviews, and I cannot say we had the same experience. It is hard to get authentic Chinese food here, so I hope they keep up the good work. It would be a shame to not visit this place.

The location near the Bahnhof in a quieter part of Zurich was much appreciated and the service was friendly and attentive. You could eat out on the shady pavement in good weather. The food however was average. Probably the glutinous rice balls and charsiu rice noodle soup were the better dishes in our order. Reserva una mesa ahora

It is really quite decent of the food… even though some said it is not authentic, but… as a local HKee…. It is good enough for me :

Loved it. We had the Char Siu Zhao Fan and the Mui Choi Kau Yuk. The flavors were nice and we liked the sauce with the juicy meat
