Hey! We had pretty delicious quickie Saturday munch. Blood Orange Margarita had some oomph. Guac had some ZING! Beer was cold, Chips fresh, hot crispiful, and the Fajitas bang-on-the money: Steak cooked perfectly with a hot pink center, no red. Service was attentive and jocular. We 've been customers since the early 90s when Uncle Julio 's and Rio Grande merged... and have noticed some changes attendant to a new re-branding as Uncle Julio 's From Scratch. Seems to be working, but it would be GREAT if they could bring back CABRITO DAYS (blast from past! and the dee-freakin-licious GOAT fajitas.
Four of us had reservations for Saturday night. They were packed but, we were seated promptly. The food was very good The Enchiladas put others to shame! and we all left pleasantly full. We splurged on the Chocolate Pinata for desert and that was a blast and very tasty. Our only issue was that our server seemed to be way behind. It took far too long for every step of the process. He, however, was very pleasant which made up for the delays. He seemed to really care about his service. We all just thought he must have been stretched too thin that night. In any case, we WILL be back!
The ambiance was fantastic, but the service was severely lacking. It took an eternity for drinks to arrive for our table of six adults and one child. The server brought the drinks and then immediately left the table without asking if we wanted to place our food orders. He returned five minutes later to take our order, but after that, there was no follow-up to see if everything was okay. He only stopped by to ask if we needed tortillas and then vanished again. Overall, the service was quite disappointing.
We always go to Uncle Julios for dinner with the family and BD celebrations i would recommend it to everyone, there is one thing though that the whole restaurant is really in need of good management allot of things went wrong this weekened when we went for dinner. The drinks were watered down, the meal came really late not even the manager came up to apologize, our server came only 2 times to ask if we needed anything else. Really THINKING about not going there again.

I visited for my daughter's birthday and tried the chocolate piñata, which was fantastic! The only area for improvement would be the water replenishment. While our bar drinks and sodas were quickly refilled, the water was not.
The food was served warm, but the noise level was incredibly high. I could barely communicate with the person next to me without having to raise my voice.
The service was good, the food was good, and the chocolate piñata was amazing! It would have been better had we not had a time crunch.
Table side guacamole was yummy! Food was plentiful and delicious but the star was the chocolate lovers piñata! Gotta try it!!!
