Overall, they really enjoy this restaurant, but tonight the food and service didn’t meet their expectations. They ordered steak and chicken fajitas, but received mostly chicken instead of the two steaks they expected. They had appetizers before their main dishes, but the dirty plates were never cleared away. They even stacked the plates for the waiter or busser to remove, but they just left them there. The chips were mostly broken pieces until they requested fresh ones. The new chips were much better, but it's surprising that the waiter didn't notice that the first batch was all broken chips.
During our last visit to Onkel Julio, we found the experience to be just average. However, we decided to give it another try, and I must say they really stepped up their game! The food was excellent, and the drinks were enjoyable as well. The only downside was that the drink prices were a bit steep. On a positive note, the service was outstanding. The waiter and staff were very supportive of one another, and the bartender was both friendly and efficient. The manager also made an effort to greet all the tables. We’ll definitely be adding Onkel Julio back to our list of go-to restaurants!
Our server was absolutely amazing, but unfortunately, the food was terrible. I had the driest, blandest enchiladas I've ever encountered, and both my companion and I ordered chicken that was equally dry and strangely unappetizing. We've been here several times before and had good experiences, so we're really uncertain about returning. I’m not exaggerating when I say that a TV dinner would have been an upgrade compared to what we had today.
Always great food, but they were out of chips and salsa when we first got there. Got the fajitas for two (2), but plate really looked like a serving for one. Filet chicken special chicken was delicious....filet was a little tough. Overall not their best showing but usually so good that we will be back.

Why would a restaurant that serves the public go out of there way to have every tv on a political news channel. When I asked why they don’t choose some none political I was told if you don’t like it don’t come back.
Excellent dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant! Everything is always fresh and served hot. We shared shrimp camerones meal with couple of margaritas. Perfect!
Queso was not great, its so loud in there, the fish tacos extremely spicy not mentioned on the menu that they were SPICY).
The food was excellent and the service was good. Some of the best Mexican food I've had in a long time.

The food was delicious and our server was lovely, but it’s just so incredibly noisy in there.
frozen drinks melted, no salsa and no clean knives available until later in the meal.
