Uncle Louie's Pizza

Oh you must do Louie 's. We were in need of lunch traveling from Rhode Island to Ohio. We first tried a search of restaurants on Google Maps and another establishment was suggested. I got a 2nd opinion on Yelp. Uncle Louies came up near by. We immediately knew Louie 's would be a step up from the Google suggestion. The hospitality was over the top, David asked where we were from since we did not sound like a local. I replied O hia ' and explained how car is properly pronounced (not kaar . Best take-out experience in Bergen County! We love dining here as well. Last night, after a late game in Florida, I ordered food from here for a house full of guests. Timing was crucial, and they had my order ready right on the dot! The young woman who took my call was very helpful in coordinating the timing. Additionally, the gentleman at the front even brought my order out to me when I got delayed on a call while trying to manage the kids. I don't expect this every time, but it was a very thoughtful gesture! It really felt special to be cared for in this way. I’ve had a few large regular pies from here and it is a good go to spot but everyone should definitely get the deep dish pizza from here. Definitely the best deep dish in the area. I did call for pickup and asked for the deep dish and the person kept thinking I meant the Sicilian. But once I called it the “uncle Louie’s pizza” she knew what I was talking about. I am not sure what happened here- you either changed cooks or ran out of ingredients such as cream, lemon and salt? BUT the chicken franchise sucked that I normally loved getting a few months ago. It had a zesty lemon flavored sauce, plenty of sauce. Now it has no flavor. What I got was bland (like my 70 yr old mom cooked it, no sauce/soaked up by pasta, chicken had no flavor). Well, I asked if their wings were breaded. I am gluten free. The girl said no. The wings came breaded. I called back and asked if they can send a grilled chicken salad in place of the wings (we are going on vacation I have no food in the house). They send me a tiny salad with no chicken. My family enjoyed the pizza and pasta and I have lettuce. I’ll stick to Pizza Love! Dietary restrictions: Don’t bother. Service: 1

The food is delicious and the staff is friendly. I always grab a meal from this place whenever I'm in the area. It's very kid-friendly, and the service is takeout. I typically spend about $10 to $20 per person for dinner.
