Underground Coffee Ales

My husband and I stopped here for lunch. We ordered the veggie burger and the veggie wrap for our meals along with onion rings and a side salad, the buffalo brussel sprouts for an appetizer, a cider and a beer. The sprouts were delicious if a bit too greasy. The cider was terrible, but this is not the establishment's fault; the beer was fine. The veggie burger was flavorless and the wrap was just sad, loaded with lettuce and just a sprinkle of the vegetables it claimed to include. After the lackluster experience, I decided to forgo the coffee. Perhaps this place offers a better experience for meat lovers, but for me it's sadly a pass.

We have been going to Underground for 5 years and it is still our favorite spot to enjoy a drink (or a flight) and a burger or chicken sandwich. They offer a burger and fries or chicken sandwich special every week, and it never disappoints. I would recommend visiting on Friday or Saturday before the special sells out. Another must-try are the Underground Giants, a perfect appetizer to share with friends. It can even be a meal on its own, and is definitely worth trying. The cafe drinks are also top-notch. I usually go for a Parisian Fog, which is lovely to have while hanging out there.

The menu is on the smaller side but offers a good variety. They have a beautiful selection of local ales and apple wine. Make sure to bring your phone as the menu is in QR codes and must be scanned. I found this to be annoying as they only printed a few paper copies. Another inconvenience was that as we ate and talked, the house music got increasingly louder, to the point where we had to leave. Despite this, the food was delicious and served fresh and hot. Overall, it was a good dining experience.

The restaurant has a spacious and welcoming atmosphere with a few tables that appeared to be sticky, as well as a beautiful bar. Despite not being a coffee person, I noticed they had a wide variety of coffee options. There are also a few outdoor tables on the civic platform. The bathrooms are on the narrow side, with one located on each side of the restaurant. The menu offers a great selection and the food tasted fresh and delicious. Reserva una mesa ahora

Update: was refused a to-go beer (one I have always taken home) service has been kinda weird recently. Too bad I go here a lot.Great place, great rotation of craft beers on tap, nice bottle selection as well.Let’s follow the recommendations of NYS and the CDC. Let’s get rid of the mask mandate for vaccinated people. Getting a bit ridiculous, time to move on

Wanted dinner, had not been to Underground coffee and Ale in probably 2 years. We were looking for something different to eat rather than the typical local restaurants we frequently use. We did takeout and the food was prepared in 15 mins. Was very happy with the fast food prep and quality of food

Good variety of coffees, teas and drinks to offer. Also a nice array of beers on tap and cans to go. Burger and sandwiches were pretty good as well.
