Surprising little bakery in S Pasadena. What I really enjoy about this bakery is the savory options. Most bakeries savory options usually end with a ham and cheese croissant, but this bakery has few more options. Our favorite is the spinach and onion croissant. The onions aren't fully caramelized but they are soft and there's still a nice sweetness that comes through. If those are sold out I recommend getting the tomato danish. So, thank you, Nikki, for introducing me to this delightful neighborhood spot! Union Bakery may be small, but they offer a impressive selection of pastries and breads. In my opinion, a good croissant should have a crunchy exterior, a chewy texture with multiple layers inside, and just the right hint of buttery flavor. Unfortunately, Union Bakery fell short in this regard. The croissant lacked the desired crunch and didn't have many layers. Instead, it was more chewy with only a slight buttery taste.
That being said, I can't judge the entire bakery based on just one item, as they may have other excellent offerings. Therefore, I’ll rate it a 3.5 out of 5. Would I return? Yes, I’d like to try their other baked goods.

Always freshly baked, secretly and friendly, not hairs, but full of community energy. They can say their customers are regular. Nothing beautiful, expect only a local small bakery that shows years of dedication to their freshly baked, tasty baked goods at a reasonable price. P.S. Of all, her cinnamon roll was unforgettable. The dough was like a pastry and not a bread. It's not too sweet either. It really stood up with the unique twist in texture and would like to go back for more!

Very good and lots of bread options. You usually see more pastry options at bakeries but they have a very nice versatile selection here. I really like that and it smells sooo good. They also have a seasonal selection too.
This place is amazing, try all the pastries! the cherry pie is the ham and cheese! tomato pesto! . If i worked out enough to burn all them calories i would be here everyday! The owners/employees are all super nice too!

Really tasty lunch special: sandwich and soup. Some folks say the baked goods are a little pricey. Yes, may be $2 more. But, I still got a pastry treat.
The baked goods here are incredibly fresh. The ham and cheese croissants are delightful, and the counter display is very appealing.
