One of my favorite bakeries in the city especially for bagels. It’s a bit out of the way if you are heading to Manhattan but convenient if you are flying into or out of LGA, I’d recommend stopping here after picking up the rental or as a nice surprise for the trip home.The bagels are hand rolled and boiled the old fashioned way in an oven that’s been around for many years. I was a local at Bagel Club on 35th Ave, and always raved about their tuna. But their prices were getting too high and they received a B rating for a two year period. An old neighbor of mine always talked about Utopia and decided to give them a shot in 2015, ever since I’ve been a loyal customer. Their chipotle chicken, country chicken salad, breakfast sandwiches are to die for! Even their tuna is better than the competition!! Staff is friendly and quick so no need to be intimidated by the lines, worth the wait every time.
What an experience. I've never had bagels before like this in my life. Thankfully i was with someone that was experienced ordering there otherwise i would have been lost. There is lots of street parking and parking in the rear. The bagels and the types of things you can put on them are AMAZING. There is nothing like Utopia bagels in southern California. It felt like a true NY experience. They have outdoor seating that is heated during the winter and looks like windows open during the summer.
My son wanted to try utopia after seeing a post,so we made the 41/2 hour round trip to get a few delicious sandwiches .The bagels were crunchy on the outside and chewy in the middle with great flavor. The staff at Utopia was very friendly and we enjoyed watching the efficiency of the staff, it is a well oiled machine behind the counter. Looking forward to eating the bagels we brought back to PA. Definitely recommend!

Reviewed/voted BEST Bagels in the country! A must to stop, add it to your trip when you visit NYC/Queens. Be prepared for a line, but it moves pretty fast. The dishes are endless, so many different types of bagels and cream cheese. Tons of breakfast sandwich options. It is overwhelming, but all you will do to be delicious.
That's it. Line was a little long, but worth waiting. The bagel, the cream cheese and the ox were $10.75, but they gave you enough on the sandwich and didn't shout and steal like other bagel shops (Forest Hills Bagels and Main Street Bagels are the worst).
I can never get tired of this place! The line can be quite long a few days, but it moves quite fast, and the staff is always friendly. We ordered: The Worth It (Cream cheese and Lox): 10/10 Yankee Clipper: 9/10 Iced Coffee: 100/10!!!!
Well it doesn't get any better than this. Probably the most wonderful thing I've ever eaten. I really don't have any other words. Drove all the way from the Hartford, CT area just to go here. We'll be back once a month. Amazing.

Absolutely worth the 45 minutes drive from Bay Ridge Brooklyn! A 25-30 min line stopped you worried to get to the front of the line to see this wall of beautiful freshly baked bagels! Waiting for a Sunday morning
Definitely one of the best bagel spots in the city there’s always a line neighborhoods favorite spot, 1st time trying the Birthday Cake Cream cheese on a everything bagel today
