it was already a long time to eat here. But when we arrived, we were told that a big party had also booked for the evening. we thought we would make it a piece, but when the party arrived, they were really loud, and that...was before alcohol, it's a cellar room and the sound has no place to escape. the employees were charming and offered to serve us in the waiting area above, could have been in order when this table arrangement was set up when we arrived. in truth, they should have told us in advance and given us a choice instead of maximizing it.
Fantastic welcome at the bottom of the stairs entering a packed restaurant on a Friday night, with the room filled with the aroma of fantastic smelling food. The young waiting team were absolutely delightful, the food was incredible, and we couldn’t have been more impressed...as first, and definitely not last time diners. As a restaurant/ pub owner myself, I congratulate the whole team on a 5 star evening
I brought my daughter to a special birthday with her friend and my wife. the stairs down to a warm welcome. beautiful atmosphere, comfortable environment. good choice on the menu, gluten-free and veggie choice. the service was friendly, eating excellent, good choice of wine. good and drink reasonable price. all in a beautiful evening. one of the best places I have eaten in reading.
came by chance over this place when we were on the way to a weeping on the road. the environment and the ambiente were perfect, eating was great (especially the black and crippled for beginners) and the staff was beautiful (attentively without being... intrusive and really felt as if they were happy to be there.) hidden gem and we would definitely return if we were next in reading!
