Another successful dinner night with friends that were visiting from out of town. We were accommodated with seating and arrival time and this speaks volume given that it was a Saturday night and it was busy. Our waiter Benjamin was attentive, patient and kind. We had questions about certain food and he made sure to confirm with the chef/kitchen staff when needed. He did not seem bothered at all and we had a several questions. We ordered the Salmon(Farmed Atlantic) which was good and swapped the rice for their mashed potatoes (very filling), the Beef Ribs were juicy, Maki-State of Zen, Vargas VIP platter for 4 which comes with a good portion of: fried calamaris, gyoza (no porc), grilled veget...
Ordered a couple of drinks from the bar, Cesar salad, 2x8oz filet mignons, garlic mash, vegetables and side of bone marrow. Both steaks were salty and mine has inedible pieces. Very low quality steak. Atmosphere was very nice and service was as expected for a restaurant in this price range.
I ate at this restaurant yesterday, and I have to say, the meat was cooked perfectly. It was just the way I like it. My friends also enjoyed their meals. Overall, I feel confident in recommending this place to others.
We had a great evening. The service was timely but not rushed. Wait staff were engaging and helpful. The food was prepared as requested and superb. We will return on our next visit to Montreal.
