We were hosts of a group of 17 for a major birthday for dinner on a Saturday evening. During booking and before the event nothing was too much trouble. Superb service for everyone throughout the evening. Set menu because we were a group but entree and mains both had 5 choices each. Mussels, bruschetta, salmon, pate, prawns for entree. Mains had 2 pastas, steak, barramundi and chicken. Everyone said their meals were delicious and served beautifully. They all smelled so good. Beautiful wines, some from their own vineyards. Overall no one could fault anything. Everyone was so Well looked after. I know their will be people going back, including us! Thank you Vasarelli family.
This was our pitstop during a long drive and we were really looking forward to it. The restaurant has a nice feel of being inside someone's house literally - a baroque one at that! Very nice service - not a regular feature you see in the country.The menu is a bit deceptive as it doesn't itself feature much on the vegetarian side. However, they were nice to make veg pasta which was awesome. The real find of the place however was the beatroot risotto; mind you, we don't usually like Risotto but this one changed our hearts for good! With a nice cellar door wine to go along, this one was a sure winner.
We had made a booking at another local restaurant that had recently moved to new premises it was to be our first dining experience there. From the moment we walked in the place just lacked atmosphere and soul, so different from the old place.Anyway decided it was not the right feel for us and excused ourselves. Walked straight on to Vasarellis and boom hit the mark. Great welcome that continued with great good, wine and service. Had been meaning to dine here for sometime. Its now a must go back restaurant. Highly recommend.
We had a Saturday lunch with 5 friends and the service was tops. The food was enjoyed by everyone but me. I ordered the pork belly cooked twice and it was 2 squares of wobbly lard (no meat just fat) and I couldn't eat it. The others said their meals were perfect. My meal aside, I really enjoyed the outdoor part of this restaurant (on the porch) and the service was friendly and very well done. Loved the Vasarelli wines. The shiraz was a beauty. Other than the one negative, this is a fun place for a Saturday lunch.

We love Vasarellis but it's clear that when Maria is not there it's just not the same. Our service wasn't good. Wish they had the porchetta still as the pork belly wasn't too good a bit gelatinous and was luke warm. The young waitress wasn't concerned at all Sad to review this way as Vasarellis is my favourite restaurant in McLaren Vale
It was another family gathering of 6 . The wines affordable and good. The meals filling (steak just great) deserts not dear Overall bill not high considering what we had . Its a restaurant we always rely on to come up with the goods. Staff chatty and helpful
One of those family run restaurants that you just want to keep going back to, Vicky is the most gracious of hosts, the menu is a delight, the service was excellent, food was delicious and well priced.
We moved to Mclaren Vale with help from another 2 couples. As a thank you we took them to Vasarelli's. Great choice ! Ambience, food and service was excellent...we will be back !

My wife and I have been here numerous times, by ourselves or with family and friends. The meals are always very good and the staff friendly and attentivr.
Had dinner here whilst staying in McLaren Vale overnight. The food was very good, great ambience and excellent service.
